Center at Innovation - Target
Prince William County, Virginia

Bowman Consulting was a vital partner in the development of the Super Target store located in the Center at Innovation.
Providing engineering, surveying and environmental services, Bowman Consulting developed the final site plan revision for the project which included the footprint of the new Target building into the revised center layout. In addition, a hydraulic analysis/water availability study was conducted, with the preparation of associated water models. The scope of survey services included a subdivision plat and revised easements to accommodate the new building, and the preparation of a preliminary ALTA/ACSM survey.
Environmental services included the preparation of a tree preservation plan by Bowman Consulting’s certified arborists. The plan included a tree survey describing the location, species, size, and condition of all trees located within the project area. Also provided with the plan, was a narrative description recommending preconstruction treatments, clearing operation measures, tree protection measures, and post-construction treatments.
Other environmental tasks included the field review of an existing Preservation Area Site Assessment (PASA) to confirm the delineation of the Resource Protection Area (RPA) boundary at the site. An application for coverage under the Virginia Stormwater Management Program General Permit (VSMP) for Discharges of Stormwater from Construction Activities was completed, and a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) was prepared for the project.
All plans were produced to Target’s specific design guidelines. Bowman Consulting assisted in the preparation of the scope documents associated with Target’s Capital Project Request (CPR) process.
