Cedar Crest Estates
Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William Counties, Virginia
Planning a residential community on 900 acres is a major undertaking for any developer. The developer of Cedar Crest Estates, however, added a twist to the project: the new community would span three counties, meaning three sets of entitlements.
Bowman Consulting’s surveyors performed network controls using GPS, established controls for photogrammetry mapping, performed an ALTA survey, and conducted a route survey for 1 1⁄2 miles of sewer and water infrastructure. Bowman also prepared subdivision and easement plats to meet the requirements of the state and each of the affected jurisdictions. Bowman Consulting has provided both survey and engineering services to the Cedar Crest community since 1996.
