Bowman Consulting Hires Two Market Specialists; Expands Technical Capabilities
Chantilly, VA – Responding to increased market demand, Bowman Consulting has hired the following technical leaders to enhance its existing technical capabilities:
Transportation Specialist Erich W. Strohhacker, PE joins Bowman as a team leader in its transportation division. In this role, Strohhacker is responsible for providing transportation engineering studies, data collection and traffic impact studies to determine the effects of proposed development plans.
Strohhacker has spent 15 years in the transportation arena. Since 2002, he was the regional office manager for Ramey Kemp and Associates in Richmond, Virginia. There he oversaw the production of all traffic engineering studies and signal-system timing plans while providing project management and permit expediting for clients.
Strohhacker graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer. He is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate.
Oil and Gas Geologist Kenneth E. Bannister, CPG joins Bowman as a Senior Hydrogeologist, as a result of increased demand in the oil and gas industries. In this role, he will lead technical work on geothermal studies, water-resources projects, hydrogeological investigations and health-and-safety programs.
Prior to joining Bowman, Bannister was a field geologist with Horizon Well Logging, working on numerous Marcellus Shale gas wells in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. There, he was responsible for overseeing on-site field geology, including well logging, geo-steering, gas monitoring and sampling, drilling, and well completions. Bannister has conducted hundreds of geophysical, well drilling, soil boring and hydrogeological investigations; and has extensive experience with public and private water resources protection, planning, and development.
Bannister graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from the University of Vermont and is a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG).
